Our Story

It started with a missed follow-up.

Not a dramatic one. Just an ordinary Monday. Someone left a meeting with a clear next step in their head, got pulled into the next thing, and by Wednesday the thread was cold. The decision had been made — it just never became action.

We'd all felt that. And when we started asking around — speaking with product managers, educators, researchers, marketers, consultants — we found it wasn't occasional. It was structural.

That's not a note-taking problem. It's a systems problem. The tools people use to talk to each other were never built to capture what comes out of those conversations and turn it into accountable work.

So we built that missing layer — what we now call the Conversation-to-Execution layer. And we named the AI agent at its core Cognia.

Over three months, we interviewed knowledge workers across tech, education, and marketing. Not to validate a hypothesis — to understand what was actually breaking down.

We're not a large team, and we don't intend to be one for its own sake. Small means we move fast, stay close to our users, and make decisions without committees.

We're based across time zones, but we operate with a single shared standard: ship things that work, be honest about what doesn't, and keep getting better.
